Hello Parents!

No one loves your child more than you, but you should know that we will do our best to make your child feel welcome and cared for at any and all of our events and activities. We want to provide worthwhile opportunities that are not only fun but Christ-centered and meaningful as well.

Please take the time to read through this packet, and encourage your child to be a part of what's going on. You know how important friendships and relationships are in your life, and they are just as important in your child's life - especially during the years when they are discovering who they are and where they fit in the world. The relationships we are in, all of us, influence who we are. We want your child to know the One who is the best influence on our lives - Jesus Christ. He is the best friend, the best sibling, the best teacher, the best role-model, and our only Savior.

We hope that your child's experience with Resurrection Youth Ministry, will be something they look forward to and something that positively influences their choices and decisions from the first day, to the last, and for the rest of their lives. We want our ministry to be the best it can be. One of the most effective ways of achieving a successful program is open communication and feedback; not only from your child but also from you. We do our best to clearly communicate everything you need to know regarding our events, however, if you have further questions or concerns, please know that we encourage you to talk to us about what's going on.

We also encourage you to take an active part in your child's experience. One the most basic (yet perhaps most important) ways is to ask questions about what they are learning and experiencing. There are plenty of other ways to get involved as well: driving to and from events, chaperoning longer trips, cooking food or hosting a small group in your home, or being a committed leader in our ministry. No matter how you get involved - please get involved. You are the most influential person in your child’s life, and if you are interested and care about what's going on, they will too.

Just a few more things... please have your child fill out the "Student Info" form. This helps us get to know your child even better and discover ways we can better encourage them. Also please fill out the "Emergency Info” form and the "Parent Info" form (one for each parent). The emergency form is required before your child participates in any of our events, and the parent form helps us get to know you a little better. These forms can be found at the Forms page, Please return all forms to Nathan as soon as possible.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's life, we are humbled and honored. And may God bless you and your family as we journey together in His goodness and love.

In God's Grace,

Nathan Erb + The Youth Ministry Team
